Roi grew up in Orange County. He graduated from Northern Arizona University with a Bachelor Degree in Computer Information Systems. He is currently enrolled at Southern Baptist Theological Seminary pursuing a Master of Divinity degree. He currently oversees the Alliance Young Adults and Laguna Woods ministries at Compass.

Roi has been married to his lovely wife Kristin since 2019 and they have two young children; Micah and Hannah.
